CUP Ministry is comprised of 12 volunteer board members spanning 12 different churches across the United States.
Varughese Abraham Sarasota, FL | Varughese Abraham, a native of Kerala, came to United States in 1972 to pursue his studies. He is a member of Mar Thoma Church of Kerala. He majored in Zoology and Geology. He is a freelance writer for some of the Indian news publications and has been writing for the last 40 plus years. He is a retired pharmaceutical executive, married and blessed with two children. |
Pamela Bailey Kansas City, MO | I was born and raised in Kansas City Missouri and brought up in a southern Baptist Church where my parents and five sisters accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, Lord and God. I have a two-year associate's degree in drafting. When I was 17 I lost a sister in a murder suicide; God came to me in a dream and told me she was with him which gave me great comfort. I knew God would always be with me. I am married with three children and four grandsons. I am a deacon along with my husband of 30 years at St Luke's Joy Church (Presbyterian) and we lead the Mariners program as well. We are very active in our church. |
Dr. Harold Ballares Kansas City, MO | I was born and brought up in the United Church of Christ in the Philippines; baptized since birth and thereafter youth, adult, +Senior in God's service: Deacon for 9 years in multiple churches in USA since 1984 up to the present; volunteer for 6 years in children's worship singing ministry, 3 years in the KC Metro Men’s Chorus ministry, Gideon’s NKC, Micah Ministry, Mission Team in the Disciples Church of Christ, Veteran Medical Center Volunteer, Medical Association, Surigao, Philippines, Medical Expatriate West Africa and Chief Medical Officer ENT Murtala M. Hospital, retired from Medical practice and Non-retirement in the service of the Lord; looking forward to serve until 100 years old or more God willing or when He returns. |
Elder Bob Diltz Westminster, CA | Born and raised in Protestant/Presbyterian Church. After high school spent nine years in the US Navy and 40 years in the Computer industry. Throughout my life I have been growing in my personal relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord, Savior and God. My passion/avocation is to teach/study the word of God and to help develop an educational/prayer ministry in our community/church. I am active in my local church, First Presbyterian Church, Westminster, CA. I have two grown daughters and have been widowed from my wife for the past nine years. |
Ms. Earline Gosney Danville, VA | Born and brought up in Danville, Virginia; raised in Southern Baptist home. Graduated from George Washington High School in Danville, VA in 1949; spent one year in Averett College, returned to Averett in1976 and earned Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In 1983 graduated Virginia Commonwealth University with Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Counseling; Spent 14 years in Presbyterian Church, returned to Baptist; currently a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia, and attends campus church, Dan River Church in Danville, Virginia; 2011 to 2013 led Saturday Bible Study at First Presbyterian Church in Danville and from 2011 to the present leads Bible Study in Danville City Jail. |
Gayle Harvill Orange, CA | I was brought up in a protestant family. I’ve been a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Westminster 40 years. I have served as Deacon and Elder for decades. I have helped to lead healing services at the church and consider prayer,, my lifeline to God. I got married April 22, 1989 to Mike Harvill. I have two grown children and five grandchildren. |
Mr. Franklin J. Kaithathara Loganville, GA | Born and brought up in Kerala, India. Migrated to USA in 1972. My parents were of God -fearing Catholics. Even the last of their 9 children, I too was blessed with religious and spiritual discipline. A special blessing l had was to work among the poor together with Holy Mother Theresa in Calcutta. Now I live with my wife(both retired) together with our youngest daughter, her husband and 3 children. Our eldest daughter, her husband and 3 children are in California. I have experienced in my life The Merciful and Forgiving Love of Jesus; So, now I do pray with Him, as in John’s Gospel, chapter 17 verses 20-23. |
Howard Miller St. Joseph, MO | Began my walk and journey with Christ in my late twenty's. My wife Linda was very instrumental in pointing me in the right direction. Linda and I have been members of our church Brookdale Presbyterian Church (EPC) for fifty four years. I am semi-retired real estate developer and trucking company founder. My wife, Linda is a retired RN. We have four children and twelve grand-children. |
Joyce Perez Danville, VA | Joyce was raised in a Roman Catholic home and came to a living faith in Jesus Christ during a Presbyterian youth conference in the late 1970’s. She graduated from King College in Bristol, TN with a BA in Bible and Religion and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary with a Masters in Christian Ministry. A long time deacon and elder at First Presbyterian Church in Danville, VA. Her “day job” is with Verizon where she has worked for 23 years. She is married and has two grown children. |
Dr. Thomas Sutter Wichita, KS | Brought up in a Roman Catholic family, graduated from a Southern Baptist seminary and served as a Presbyterian Pastor for a number of years and retired. (He likes to describe his spiritual journey as theologically cosmopolitan). During the latter years of the Viet Nam war, he served in the US Navy as a Corpsman (medic). In 1977 he married the love of his life, Donna. They have two grown children and two granddaughters. |
Donna Trautwein Festus, MO | I was raised Catholic and now I have been a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Crystal City, Missouri for about 35 years. My husband and I have been married for 41 years and have a daughter that we adopted from India. We are blessed with two beautiful grandchildren. I worked as a legal secretary for defense attorneys and am now retired. |
Agnes Verghese New Hyde Park, NY | She was born and brought up in Syro-Malabar Catholic Church in Kerala State, South India. She studied nursing and came to USA in 1977 with her husband and two children. Children are now grown up and have their own families. Currently she is retired and lives with her husband in New Hide Park, NY. She is a very devout Catholic and participate in the daily Mass and other devotional exercises. She is a member of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church. |
